A Little Something About Us
100% Pure, 100% Canadian!
The Beginnings
Border Hills Honey began producing and selling honey in 2013. With humble beginnings of only 5 hives and big dreams, our operation has grown considerably since we began keeping bees as a hobby.
What’s Happening Nowdays
Our real fruit flavoured and creamed honey products are exploding in popularity, we began to move our product into retail locations across Canada in 2018, and are actively seeking more locations. We are proud to make top quality local Canadian honey available to the public, in the wake of uncertainty in imported honey quality and purity. The honey used in our products distributed across Canada is 100% Canadian, and always will be.
We are really busy during the summer months as we attend multiple markets, if you get out on the town and attend a farmers market in Manitoba you may likely run into us. We are working hard to make our products more readily available to you! Also we are continuously working to expand our operation, keeping up with the demand for our products has been a challenge that we readily accept, thanks for the support!
Our Plans in the Future
As we expand our operation to supply retailers across Canada, we are keeping the quality of our honey as a top priority. Currently we are selling unpasteurized creamed honey, real fruit flavoured honey, as well as a variety of homemade wax products.
Bottom Line
We have made it our mission here at Border Hills Honey Ltd. to provide top quality products. 100% pure, 100% Canadian.
Meet the Team
Josh Wiebe,
President & CEO
Josh is the founder and visionary behind Border Hills Honey Ltd. Most of his free time is spent tending to the bees, be it queen rearing, honey harvest, or ensuring the health and well-being of our colonies. An accountant by trade, Josh handles all the financial items within the company and directs our growth and distribution strategies as we expand our retail network across Canada.
Kayla Wiebe,
Vice President
As the business has grown, Kayla’s focus has turned to farmers market sales, and building relationships with our retail clients. You will find her at many of the markets in southern Manitoba. Many of our additional products are packaged, and hand labeled by Kayla between markets, all while supporting Josh in the bee yards when the need for additional labour is required.
